This workshop is aimed at people who want to strengthen their voice and build their confidence for sessions/performances/public speaking. We will practise vocal techniques, do some body work and using songs or poems provided at the workshop, develop confidence performing.
Welcome to bring your own songs/poems to work with.
No need to be able to read music for this workshop, it is purely voice based.
It will be a safe space and you will leave feeling more confident and joyous.
This workshop is facilitated by Vawn Corrigan
‘I enjoy singing at sessions and regularly give public talks, I struggled so much getting confidence to do both, I am delighted to be able to share the tips that really worked for me.’

Haiku is the shortest poetry form in the world, originating in Japan in the 17th Century. In this introductory workshop, you will learn tips for reading & writing haiku, and seek inspiration from the sights, sounds and smells of midsummer.
· no experience of haiku, poetry or any type of creative writing is needed
· the workshop will include a short haiku walk in the locality
· just bring a pen and paper, and wear ‘sensible’ shoes
The workshop will be led by acclaimed poet & educator Maeve O’Sullivan, who has six collections from Alba Publishing. Maeve’s haiku have been widely published, anthologized & awarded, and have been translated into over ten languages.
